Student training progress with Taichi Zidong course validation

Course validation, one month training with Taichi Zidong

This event is the whole package: experience Chinese culture and hospitality, participate in cultural exchange and most importantly discover the hidden energy in your body and learn how to manage it wisely to your advantage. This course will give you the opportunity to practice and observe the presentation of this ancient empirical science and experience it in your own body. The instructor (master) Zidong teaches patiently and diligently. He knows his stuff. He corrects intelligently and to the point.

My own experience at 67: after one week of adapting to the workload of the course (5 hours of dedicated daily exercise and lots of good sleep) my body moves so much easier and efficiently that I even started running around in the yard flying a kite! I feel great and will keep up the exercises in order to maintain my body and hopefully advance to the next level in the art of TaiChi.
The course is well set up as a whole logic entity. For better comprehension of the upcoming lessons we practice relaxation of body and mind combined with breathing. The basic moves are taught before diving into the more complex patterns. For me as beginner to this art it was the five elements of Qigong which are the basis of TaiChi. It takes time and patience to execute these deliberate slow and precise moving patterns in a relaxed manner; with plenty of opportunity to practice, correct and repeat the motions at your own pace. Your body will thank you, get stronger and your mind will learn to really focus. You will discover many details and their importance on the way. This never gets old!
When the training day is over, Jü, the course manager and wife of Master Zidong, takes care of all other needs and questions during your stay here. She is an intelligent, kind and never tired of translating, answering questions and helping us find the things we need. Her personal touch makes everyone feel at home.
After a month of diligent supervised physical work, three warm meals a day in friendly company, endless laughter and conversations, and restful nights in a king sized bed the thought occurs: it’s hard to leave!
Keep in mind:
This was a journey of self-cultivation and self-improvement, not a holiday/vacation getaway (you will still have LOTS of fun). I recommend that you regularly exercise and tune up your body before arriving here. You’ll enjoy your stay more.

With cordial gratutide
